    3. I'm forwarding this message I received earlier. I hope it will help some Dodson researcher. --Glenn Gohr ggohr01@mail.orion.org ______ My page is a FREE service intended to be used to post and view queries about individuals/surnames people are searching for information on. My intention is to make this the most useful new site on the 'net. Please come help me and yourself at the same time! Thanks! Family Tree Climbers: a Genealogy Link-up Page Joshua Sorensen & Shana Hackett <Demon@CLDS.NET karwoski@usa.net http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/6527 Information needed for ANCESTOR QUERIES: 1. On the first line of the BODY of the e-mail put the following: SURNAME, first name, middle name (IF AVAILABLE)/date (IF AVAILABLE)/place (IF AVAILABLE) Note*: Only the SURNAME should be in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. 2. Put one line space and in the BODY of the message please identify the information that you are seeking. Provide what you can to help others recognize your listing. The size of the entry should be no larger than 4-5 lines of 80 character text. Therefore around 70 words in length. Abbreviate whenever possible the State, country, b for born, m for married, d for died, abt for about, bur for buried etc... Also, you should omit unnecessary comments such as, - looking for, in search of, want to find parents and siblings, any info, thank you in advance, any help will be appreciated, send replies to etc... Your listing is meant to attract attention by providing enough information to cause the viewer of the page to contact you. After this contact has been made - you can exchange additional information. Here is an example of the type of post we are looking for (for ancestor queries): MURRAY, (Reverend), J.T. (John Thomas?), Pastor of Methodist Protestant Church on Aisquinth Street, Westminster, MD., about 1871. Looking for names of Parents, Wife, Brothers & Sisters, and Children & Other data. My GGGGrandfather. richardm@freewwweb.com(orig. post 1/98) It tells: who they are looking for and a good description of the information they are looking for. ________________________________- Comments from Glenn: Note: The current URL for this site is: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/6527/ This week a note says they will shortly be moving to this site: http://www.familytreeclimbers.com I've known about this site for awhile, but I've been wanting to wait and see if it is legitimate or not. It seems to be a worthwhile site with postings regarding ancestors, adoption searches, etc. I haven't found any of my surnames listed YET, but then I haven't posted anything yet either. It seems like a good place to post queries and list your e-mail address for someone to contact you. The queries must be short and to the point. (And they will let you delete a message should you ever change your mind.) Sincerely, Glenn Gohr (Hanks List Manager) ggohr01@mail.orion.org
