Here is my info for any new people who may joined the list. This info is very vague, but I hope that someone out there may be able to help me as I have come to dead end. V.Y. Savage born in 1876, place unknown, possibly in Texas. His parents were either Molly or Dorcus Dodson and a man with the last name of Savage Trying to locate anything on the Dodson, she may have never married the father of V.Y. The only other info we have is that she may have been living on a ranch in Oklahoma, and V.Y. may have killed a man when he was 12 years, and his mom gave him the last name of Savage to keep the law from finding him. Also another story is that she was living in Denton County, Texas when he was born and the father would not marry her, because he was of a wealthy family, so she just gave him the Savage name. So if any one out there may have heard any of this please let me know as we would really like to find out anything on the Dodson side. Rose rmsavage@swbell.com
