Elaine, I'm very curious about your Vollentine Dodson. I have a William V. Dotson, b. TN, son of John b. 1788 VA, son of Charles b. c1770 VA who acording to Lucas and is a Dangling Dodson. I sure would like to stop dangling. I'm probably grasping as straws here, but.... I always speculated that the V. in William's name stood for Valentine or some other unusual name, but never ran across an "V" Dodsons until now. I'm now wondering if your Vollentine might be my William V's uncle? William lived in Westmoreland, TN. Any connection?
