"Virginia Funk Walter Dodson, 92, of Middletown, died Monday, May 7, 2001, in Tandem Health Care of Woodstock. Mrs. Dodson was born Nov. 17, 1908, in Randolph County, WV, the daughter of Godfred Nathaniel and Elizabeth Lichliter Funk. She worked for C&P Telephone Co. and National Fruit Product Co. She was a cook for Nixons Restaurant, Duffs Restaurant, Boby Bowman Restaurant, and the Virginia Restaurant. She retired from Aileen Inc. in Strasburg. She was a member of Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren in Middletown and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department. She was married to Floyd Dodson. Her first husband was Herman Walter. Surviving are a son, Weldon Walter of Fort Valley; two daughters, Elvena Coffey of Fairfax and Pauline Aud of Carmi, IL; seven stepchildren; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and step great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, with Pastor Ralph Burner and Pastor Fred Mauck officiating. Burial will be in Charles Emerson Walter Cemetery, Fort Valley. Pallbearers will be Lee Coffey, Randy Coffey, Richard Walter, Ronald Walter, Jerry Aud, and Jack Aud. The familiy will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Woodstock Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 221, Woodstock 22664; the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
