Just go a different direction with this. Instead of looking @ written records, go about looking @ oral records. Ask the Tribe themselves. Ask an Elder then write down what is told to you. You will likely be very surprised @ the results. Then we can begin by having these records as our new written records. Combined with the old information this will likely give a greater understanding & picture of what life was like in our family all those hundreds of years ago. But, what- ever you do, please don't give up but lets remain unitd as a family with the common goal of coming to a unified conclusion that we are 1/2 native american & 1/2 anglo american families. The true carriers of the Dodson Family Bloodline will have a D shaped indentation on their body. I have mine on my right thigh above my right knee about mid thigh & this will denote a true carrier legitimate bloodlineage of the Dods/Dodson DNA. I have mine so am a true lineal carrier & soon to get my certificate as a certified professional genealogist & so therefore will be qualified to help if someone needs additional assistance.
