Nice to see everyone posting. Here is my update. My line can be traced by DNA to Charles Dodson lineage of North Farnham Parish, Richmond, VA (Charles-1). Unfortunately I still lack the proof of the connector in the lineage before 1800. Here is my brick wall. ....................................................................... Jesse Dodson, b. 1801/2 TN, married (1) unknown. Prob. the Jesse Dodson in Polk Co., TN in 1840 census. Owned land beside son Thomas S. Dodson in Ouachita Co., AR in 1847. Their issue: 1. Thomas S. Dodson, b. TN 1826, died Hill Co., TX 1886. Married Martha D. Creasy from KY in Rusk Co., TX, 1850. Moved to Houston Co./Trinity Co. TX 1851. Major CSA. Moved to Hill Co., TX 1880. 2. Sarah Anne Dodson, b. April 30, 1830, Jackson Co., AL. M. (1) Abraham Ringo, Red River Co., 1849. M. (2) Alford M. Linard (Leonard) from Crockett Co, TX in 1868. Moved to Somervell Co. then Erath Co. ca 1880. ..................................................................... Jesse Dodson m. (2) Amanda Walker in Bossier Parish, LA in 1849. Amanda died in Houston Co. in 1859; no issue. Jesse died in Houston Co., TX 1868. .................................................................... I have yet to determine the parents of Jesse Dodson who lived in TN in 1801 given the information from the Williams/Lucas books. Based on the migration movements listed above, Jesse may have descended from Lazarus Dodson (#215) through his son Jesse Dodson (#750). I would like to discuss the DNA project with a male desendant from Lazarus Dodson (#215) or his father Rawleigh Dodson (#69). Thanks, Morris
