Barbara: I did a QUICK look at the printed 1850 TN census: Looks like in 1850 Grainger Co TN census DODSON was used rather than DOTSON. I don't see a William under 5. There is one that says: "Wm. 1 52" I did spot a "William 3" in Hawkins Co TN parents: John DODSON 49, Rebecca 40.
