    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: janebeyers1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.dodson/1526.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: After reading through all these posts I realize there is no accepted documentation to prove the relationship. However, that doesn't mean it isn't true. It just means it is unproven. I would like to suggest (and this means I'm going to have to go through and edit my tree!) that we add "(unproven)" to the names of ancestors we aren't able to document and perhaps add a story or comments about why, in spite of the fact we are unable to document the relationship, we believe it is true. 3. Short of putting a huge flashing sign on your information, anyone looking to make that Eagle Plume/Dodson connection isn't going to pay attention to the words unproven. There is so much miss-information all ready online I don't understand providing more. Keep what you have with your family information, list it as an unproven story, expand on it when you find additional information, write a story about the information you have, but please don't include it in any online information you have online.
