He was born August 24, 1926 in Columbus, OH to the late Lloyd and Janis (Scott) Dodson. He was a graduate of South High School and a WWII Army Air Force veteran. Lloyd was a member of Masonic Lodge #97, Scottish Rite, VFW #1388 and American Legion Post #144. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, travel and especially spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son James Patrick; and sister Ruth Ann Dodson. Lloyd is survived by Helen his loving wife of 44 years; children Jeffrey (Karen) Dodson, Jodi (Irv) Christenson and Douglas Dodson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 4-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd where a funeral service will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 10 AM with interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
