There was a reference to a Sir (something) Dodson as being a partner in at least one ship that sailed to Virginia. I cannot find my notes now - it has been so long - but if anyone else is curious, maybe looking at who funded the Virginia Trading Company and others that helped pay for that adventure to the New World.
