That William was from the Richmond (Charles, Sr.) line, and went to Pulaski Co., Kentucky, if I remember right. The William I'm researching went to Nelson Co. Recent DNA testing has shown that the Richmond Dodson line is not connected to the line that I'm researching, Richard Dotson, Sr., born Oct. 23, 1752. This line is showing an origin of Chester Co., Pa. Dodsons, Thomas Dodson who married Mary Prigg. Sorry I can't help. Here's a link that has information on several Dodson/Dotson lines.
