Jackson, justice of the peace (Marriage Book E, page 210). They appear to be the same couple in the 1880 census for Lavaca county, Texas. Joseph born Ohio abt 1830 (father Ohio, mother NY) Elizabeth born Texas abt 1846 (father TX, mother Ohio), dau Elizabeth born TX about 1866, son Charlie born TX abt 1878. Would like to ID this Elizabeth's maiden name so that I can ID the Joseph. I believe son Charlie is the same Linscomb who married Ada Jones in Orange,TX, and moved first to LA and then to Kansas City as a blacksmith for the railroad. Daughter Elizabeth may be a Dodson or Josiah's from previous marriage. Anyone missing a Dodson who married an Elizabeth born in Texas? The Ohio relationship may be a clue.
