A loving daughter, wife, mother, friend and teacher, she leaves a legacy of love, courage and strength with her parents (Bob and Daleen), husband (Wes), sons (Jack and Max), grandmother (Leona), in-laws (Betty and Dick), sister-in-law (Heather), aunts, uncles, countless devoted friends and former students. Beth was the person who walked into a room and her smile drew you to her. Early in her life she was a member of 4-H, a cheerleader at Alexander High School in Albany, Ohio, and past Athens County Fair Queen. She attended Ohio University and received her bachelor’s degree in education in 1998. Later that year she married her soul mate and middle-school sweetheart, Wes Whitmore. She realized her dream of becoming a teacher, most recently with Dublin City Schools, and a mother to sons Max and Jack, in whom she will live on. When she was diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer, in true Beth fashion, she used her strong determination, the love of her family and support of her friends to face treatments, surgery and radiation. Beth fought for the time that she had left to be with her family and friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. She is a warrior, a hero, and a role model. She taught us that every moment of life is precious and should never be wasted. She showed that love, patience, kindness, and courage are hallmarks for which we should all strive. Beth was taken from us too early in her life, but we will forever carry her in our hearts. We love you Beth! Her family invites you to join in honoring and celebrating Beth and the impact she had on everyone she met beginning with calling hours from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Rutherford Funeral Home (www.rutherfordfuneralhome.com) at 450 W. Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 17, at the Powell United Methodist Church at 825 E. Olentangy St., Powell. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you support a benefit held in her honor at <http://www.only4bethwhitmore.com>www.only4bethwhitmore.com. http://www.athensohiotoday.com/obituaries/elizabeth-whitmore/article_2280781e-fe99-11e1-ba42-001a4bcf887a.html
