    3. Dianne: Thanks so much for this info! I never thought to look on Amazon or any of the book sellers, as it is a genealogy book-- rarely find those on Amazon or B&N site. I'l be sure to check those sites in the future though! Nancy On Feb 26, 2006, at 11:39 PM, Tim and Dianne Erwin wrote: Dodson/Dotson Family of North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., VA

    3. Sue, Shirley and Dianne; Thanks to all of you for your help in finding the DODSON history book. This is what makes online genealogy feel like a group effort-- it is! I have some good leads for interlibrary loan options and I will certainly try ebay. I really appreciate it! Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/RKT.2ACIB/1367.1 Message Board Post: I am Melving G. Dodson 111 M.D., PhD. The Dodson's World Fair shows was my grandfathers. My father died in 1945, and I was raised by my grandfather. I went out with the show when I was very young. The last time I can remember the show going out was probably 1947. My grandfather had one train car made into a house, and he lived on the train. However, when we moved from one town to another he drove his car. I do remember him telling me that it took 52 flat cars to move the show. All equipment were placed in wagons and then 3 or 4 (I do not remember exactly) wagons were pulled onto a flatcar. My grandfather died in Miami where he had lived for the last 17 years of his life. He is buried in Savannah Georgia whered our family plot is located. I was born in 1940. Mel Dodson
