My GGgrandparents were George W Dodson and Elizabeth Fagan Dodson they were married at New Echota, GA the home of the Cherokee Nation. Elizabeth Fagan Dodson was the daughter of Michael Fentriss Fagan and Roseanne ????. Roseanne was the daughter of Chief Standing??. I've never been able to find out Chief Standing what ??? I went to New Echota a few years ago but wasn't able to get any info. There's several Cherokee tribes that was there before they were all routed to the Trail of Tears. Sandy Dodson Tomlin

(Simpson) had six children who died in Wayne Co., KY, before they moved to Oklahoma in 1907. They were: Jane Florence Dodson 1878-1881 Flora Dodson 1882-1882 Mattie E. Dodson 1886-1897 James Roy Dodson 1888-1901 Stella Dodson 1889-1889 Lillie Dodson 1898-1898. Family stories say that they were buried "on the hill behind the barn". The family home burned down, and they moved to another place in Wayne Co. between 1900-1907 before moving to Oklahoma. These children are not listed in the Wayne County Cemetery Book by the Coffeys. Does anyone know where these children are buried?
