Died: Feb. 25, 1848 in Clayton Co, Ga. 6 x's Great Grandfather: Rev. Joshua Dodson, Sr. born May 25, 1725 in Virginia. Married Ruth [possibly Rose] in 1745 in Va. Died 1793 in N.C. 7 X's Great Grandfather: Thomas Dodson -born May 15, 1681 in Richmond Co, Va. and married Dorothy Mary Durham and he died on Nov. 21, 1740 in Va. 8 X's Great Grandfather: Charles Dodson, Sr. born 1649 in Virginia and married Anne and don't know when he died. 9 X's Great Grandfather: I have been told he was Jesse Dodson born in 1623 in Va. and married to Judith Hagger. My Dodson line is distant and short, and from the PA Dodson lines - Mary Dorothy Dodson, b 1817, Greenfield Twp., Bedford Co., PA, m Jacob Shaffer of Bedford Co. ca 1835, d 1902, Gallitzin, Cambria Co., PA - she was my ggg-gm. Joseph Seabrook Dodson, b 1792 near Gettysburg, PA, m Susan Conrad ca 1815, d in Greenfield Twp., Blair Co. (twp. formerly in Bedford Co.), buried in Newry, Blair Co., PA, St. Patrick's Cemetery. Evidently became Catholic when he married. Thomas Dodson, b in the eastern part of PA, m Molly Seabrook; both are probably buried in the Dodson family cemetery near East Freedom, Blair Co., PA, as there are adjacent stones marked T. and M., otherwise unknown. Previous generations questionable, as family info hasn't been proving out to me, so far. Thomas was most likely a brother or cousin of Michael Dodson of Greenfield Twp., son of John Dodson, as he moved to an area of Greenfield Twp. where Michael and his family lived. Her father was Lazarus Dodson born about 1800 in probably Hawkins Co., Tn. and died after 1850 probably in Pulaski Co., Ky. Her mother was Elizabeth Campbell born about 1802 and died before 1830 in Claiborne Co., Tn. They were married about 1820 in probably Claiborne Co., Tn. His father was Lazarus Dodson born about 1760 in Richmond Co., Va. and died before 1826 in probably Claiborne Co., Tn. His wife was Jane unknown. His father was Raleigh Dodson born about 1730 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., Va and died after November 1794 in Hawkins Co., Tn. just south of Rogersville on Dodson's Creek. His wife was Elizabeth (Mary) unknown. His parents were George Dodson and Margaret Dagord. His parents were Thomas Dodson and Dorothy Mary Durham.
