    3. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of "The Dodson Family of Warren County, Tennessee and Allied Families" by Catherine Gaffin Lynn? It was copyrighted 1974 but I do not have the Library of Congress Number. I know that the Magnass Memorial Library in McMinnville, TN has a copy but they won't loan it out through inter-library loan. I have copies of a few pages but would like to have the whole book if possible. Recently I lost all my records off of my hard drive plus my back-up copy through a fire and must start piecing my tree back together. This book would be a great help. 3. The address is correct for Libbie Griffin. From messages I have already received regarding Baptist minutes, it appears there is a large number of us wanting this information. I have written to Libbie and offered to forward the text file to all of those from the Dodson list who have made a request. I have not heard from Libbie and imagine she is overwhelmed with requests. Once I receive the text file I will leave a message here and all of you can contact me for the forwarding. 3. I have a copy of the "Minutes of Broad Run Baptist Church, Faquier Co., Va., 1762-1872" as published in "Genealogical Record" Vol 7, No. 3, Sept . 1965 through Vol. 9, No. 4, Dec. 1967." The "Genealogical Record" was published by Houston Gen. Forum, Houston, Texas. I have this scanned to disk and am willing to send a text file to anyone who is interested. Please e-mail me if you'd like to receive it. The original was typed in an old typewriter with large and small capital letters, resulting in the scanned copy being all caps -- a bit slower to read, but better than nothing. The file is about 150K. Mary Gregg of Austin Texas located this record and scanned part of it, and sent me the rest. We did our best to remove scanner errors, but some may have slipped by. Many members of this church, including most of the Dodsons, migrated to Pittsylvania Co. in the late 1760s. Incidentally there are a number of slaves named in these records; anyone whose Fauquier Co. ancestors were enslaved may want a copy of this. On the last page of these minutes is a page of birth records, which includes at least one Stamps family. I hope to have my Dodson web page updated soon. I have been updating Brother's Keeper with a lot of new information but most of it applies only to the Dodsons from the Shenandoah Valley area in VA. I will try to add more from the book "Dodsons from North Farnham Parish" before I update the page. For new subscribers to the Dodson List, my web page can be accessed by going to: http:pages.prodigy.net/wchs "Shenandoah Ancestry" and then clicking on Dodson Ancestry at bottom of page. There is also a Dodson News page with email addresses and 'puzzles' others are hoping to solve. Alley Blackford (Dodson List Mgr) wchs@prodigy.net

Her name was either Darcus or Molly Dodson, we are not sure which first name is the right one, or they may both be correct. She had one child and his name was V.Y. Savage. The story goes that V.Y. was illigament and may have been born with the Dodson name and was given the Savage name later in life, the fathers first name may have been George. V.Y. was born in 1876. This is all that we ahve. Anything that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Rose rmsavage@swbell.net
