HELP!!! I am still searching for a connection to MILLER DODSON b 1797, lived in Madison County, VA. Married DILLA and had several children one of whom was ANDREW CHAMP AKA A. Champ. A. Champ's son was BELL FIELD DODSON. Both Andrew & Bell lived in Madison County, VA. I have the Lucas books and know of the Reverend Miller Dodson. We think is that the name "Champ" and "Bell Field" were names passed down from the maiden names of grandparents, but no proof. I would love to have some help in breaking through this barrier. Hello everyone...been awhile since I posted my surnames. I am looking for information on Thomas DODGSON/DODSON b: 1798 in Darrington, Yorkshire, England. He married an Elizabeth. They came to America and settled in Argyle, Lafayette Co., WI. Their daughter Hannah was b: 1836 in Darrington, also. She married twice, first to John BISHEL, then to Thomas Alexander FRAME. Alley I am looking for information on ancestors of Tabitha DODSON, born 1795 in Pennsylvannia, married Moses PATTERSON and lived in Tennessee for a while. When Moses died somewhere around 1825 -1830, she moved to Missouri and died in 1854 and was buried in Mentor, Missouri. My Elizabeth Jane DODSON married Andrew J. PATTERSON, Craighead Co, Ark. They lived at Ridge Station. I was told, but don't have proof, that he was killed by a train. Don't know how. I do know that she was left with a bunch of kids to raise. Becky

She was married to James D Thurman who was born June 18 1838 in O Brein county Tennessee and died June 19 1914 in Benton County MO. They were married August 22 1858.
