Hi Betty: Would love to have your file as it might help me locate the parents of Charles & William Dodson who appear in Granville Co. NC in the 1750's but I have hit a brick wall trying to go back any further. Jacque B. Hi Ken I just visited your family tree site. I am grasping at straws here, but do you know if Ann Dodson, Elizabeth Mary Dodson or Sarah Dodson married William PAYNE? My Dodson is listed as Hephyibah Dodson. I have no idea where in England she comes from but I do know that she was born sometime in the same time frame as your three I mentioned. I am hoping that Hephyibah is just an extremely bad reading of a scribbled Elizabeth. Thank You Ken Payne
Betty, I, too would like a copy of your DODSON/DOTSON file -- I have FTM 5. Thank you so much! Julie Kosmata Elliott: jkosmata@aol.com

These volumes list the sources for all information given. The books begin with Charles Dodson, Sr. of North Farnham Parish in VA. Volume 1 follows the descendants of Charles, Sr. into many regions, not just VA. Volume 2 has the "dangling Dodsons"....Dodson lines found that have not been linked back to Charles, Sr., the index, and the sources found in states and counties. I would like to have a copy of your Dotson/Dodson file. I use Brother's Keeper and can read GEDCOM files. Robert Peter
Betty are you popular or what? I'll have to remember to try this when I have something that is worthwhile to send and I am really lonely.:-) Please send a copy of the file - as so many others, I can use it as an excuse to upgrade if my version won't open it. Thank you very much not only for the file, but for the uplift the messages provided to my day. Landon Dodson in Portland Oregon.
Betty, I would also like a copy of your Dodson file. Thank you in advance. Louisa

I think I've sent a "zillion" attachments out now (to Dotsons also), but I'm happy to do so. I know there is controversy on some of these ancestors, but I hope the file will give all of you some fun in muddling through. Because I now have the 3 Dodson/Dotson books (Wms/Lucas; Ege and Richard Dotson descendants), I don't pour much new information into this Dodson file unless it is updating or correcting what I already have. As you will see, most of these folks are the early (1600-1800) people since the file has been a by-product of my own search for my ancestor born in 1752. I'm still hunting. He and his descendants are listed at: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/r/e/n/Betty-D-Renick/ So, if anyone thinks they've got a lead on my Richard, I'll be eternally grateful. Best regards to all, Betty
Hi Betty Please send me your file as an email attachment, I haves a Mac, if that makes a difference. I do have FTM and a 'brickwall' Dodson. Hi Cyndi-- I sent a note about my possible Northumberland connection with Abraham and Samuel Dodson, but sorry I don't have anything in the file on your Catherine. If I run across her, I'll be glad to share. Someone has said the Northumberland Co records all burned so apparently there's little of the old records available. Best regards, Betty
