    3. Yes, once you have any higher level set of markers the lower level ones are of much less use - from the company's point of view they mainly serve to lure you into upgrades. I think you have to match 33/37 or better to show under the 37 marker category matches. Personally I would prefer that people took the M222 test for the defining SNP for our group. Then the other issue you are getting at namely whether you 'match' the haplotype simply goes away. Also this way we can make useful discoveries about the pre-M222 population rather than just assume we are all in M222 because of our STR markers.
