I join David and Linda in my remarks that the new group format expands our ability to service the R-M222 community. I very much look forward to working with David, Linda, Paul, and Mike in serving you as a volunteer co-admin of the M222 and Subclades Haplogroup Project. These admins I join are dedicated and proactive individuals who have selflessly served the genetic genealogy community and R-M222. I am honored to join them as we continue our journey through the examination and application of Science, Genealogy, and History of our paternal ancestries. I would like to mention that the project would not exist with out its members. Ultimately, all of you are responsible for the progress that has been made. Members with special skills, such as Iain Kennedy as well as the Admins for the Surname, Clan, Geographical and related Haplogroup projects, genealogists, historians, linguists, those with science and genetics in their resumes among all that have contributed to the testing and discussions regarding M222 are cumulatively responsible for the M222 discovery progress. Personally I would like to acknowledge all by name; however the list would be endless and invariably, I'd likely neglect to mention someone. The R-M222 and Subclades project is packed with individuals who are motivated. Volunteer contributions are the backbone of all our efforts. There are those who have special talents that are welcome to contribute them. Visual aids, as seen with Iain's tree, are incredibly valuable. The new format allows you to attach to a message graphs, charts, frequency tables, haplotype spreadsheets, ad-hoc analyses, shared variant comparisons, etc. for members of the forum to digest, discuss, ask questions about, seek/add clarifications to. These contributions in addition to general discussion are invaluable, and I encourage members that have worked within your groups to share with us. Additionally, the historians and genealogists such as Alan Milliken, Paul Duffy, Bernard Morgan among others who have collected and analyzed pertinent historical information from manuscripts, books, papers, historical reviews that add meaning to the ancestral past may attach and/or link their efforts. Thanks to all. We look forward to your contributions at: R1b-M222-Project@yahoogroups.com With best regards, Susan Hedeen
