    1. [R-M222] From the M222 project ADMINS: R1b-M222-Project discussion forum NOW
    2. Susan Hedeen
    3. The R-M222 discussion forum is now hosted at *Yahoo Groups* found under the title *R1b-M222-Project.* The forum,/RootsWeb: DNA-R1B1C7-L Archives /has served us well since David Wilson initiated it during the month of June 2007. With the ever increasing developments in SNP discoveries, testing opportunities, expanding data sets, analyses formats, and the growth of project membership, the administrators in collaboration with one another believe the availability of a format that allows the posting of attachments with additional group file storage along with a discussion forum better suits the needs of the project at large. /The RootsWeb: DNA-R1b1c7-L Archives/ will remain as the host of the Archives as they have been stored by the parent company, Ancestry.com, for as long as the company supports them. The Archives are a valuable chronicling of the thousands of discussions pertinent to the subclade regarding the historical, archeological, linguistic, cultural, and the YDNA of the M222 sub-clade. We encourage all current and future members to join with us in the continuation of the YDNA discovery process and the ongoing discussions pertinent to our individual and cumulative research into our paternal ancestors. As with the former discussion site, the R1b-M222-Project group entitled in its description as "R1b-M222 Haplogroup and SubClade" must be joined. For members who already belong to Yahoo Groups, the method for joining is the same as for the other groups you presently belong to. For members who are not familiar with the Yahoo Groups Format here are some helpful steps: 1. Join Yahoo: Don't have one? Additionally, you do not even need to go into the forum pages at all as all the individual posts will be delivered into your personal email box. As with other email then you may do what you wish with those messages...if you delete them and then would like to refer to them again, you may go into the forum pages and view them in archive just as is the case with the RW forum. *You will notice that there is a files section. There currently are folders for test results to be filed. For those who have not sent your results to Susan to file in the L21-Neo groups, you may file your test results in the appropriate folders. Over the coming weeks Susan will be filing test results previously sent to her with permission for filing. These files are for the benefit of all members who join the group.* We encourage M222 participants to file your test results (such as YSEQ, Chromo2, Geno2, BIGY - in the zip format; if you have had analysis done by Iain Kennedy, FGC or YFull, please file copy of their reports; FGC sequencing - please file reports from the FGC analytical team and/or Greg Magoon. If you are a current FTDNA participant, please make certain that your FTDNA ID and the surname accompanies your test results. For those who have tested Chromo2, if you have requested your ID from Angelika Kritz at Scotland's DNA, Please attach that number as well. If your result is included on the BISDNA spreadsheet, we may use that number to identify the result in comparison to others that they put into their spread sheet. YSEQ testers: Please include your YSEQ ID in conjunction to any other ID's you have (FTDNA, Chomo2, etc.) These test results are invaluable in assisting individuals and the project at large both in discovery, analyses of the data, and further recommendations, if any that you may request. If you are a member of the R-M222 haplogroup project under FTDNA, the FTDNA test results except those of BIGY, your results will be transferred into the FTDNA project pages automatically. Linda will notify the forum of these test results as she has throughout. IF YOU HAVE FTDNA RESULTS AND not a member of the HAPLOGROUP PROJECT, please join it. There are instructions as to how to do that on the welcome page of the project. If you have difficulty, please contact Linda so that she may send to you *an invitation to join* link; however, please, only if you have difficulty that you cannot mitigate yourself.
