Hi, Mike, I am a complete noob at DNA-based family research. Curiosity finally motivated me to explore the DNA avenue of looking into my own family's history, just to get some idea as to where they originally came from, and so here I am. Then, one day I got a notice on my FT home page saying that I belong to a Niall of the Nine Hostages DNA group. Huh? What? How does that apply to me? Even there, however, apparently there are variations within that group, and further research is ongoing to determine any sub-groups, if any. But fear not! You and I are from planet Earth, and so the odds are that there already are others who are similar if not identical to each of us, and it is just a matter of finding them. Good luck on your search! Meanwhile, I am still on my own search.
