Gr.-granddaughter of Jesse Penfield and Polly Upson, his wife. Jesse Penfield, (1761-1834), served in the Canadian campaign, 1775, and in Wadsworth's Brigade at the battle of Long Island. He was placed on the pension roll, 1818, of Oneida county, N. Y., for service of private in the Connecticut Line. He was born in Connecticut and died in Camden, N. Y. Also No. 15181.
