According to the parish records of Over, John Disbrow was born in 1833 and he married Abigail Adams on September 23 1856. Their son Thomas went to America, as did John's sister- in- law, Sarah Savage of Haddenham,(William's wife) and her son Walter. John's parents were John Desbrow and Alice Webb, who were married on August 8 1819 in Over. John (snr) died in 1838 in Over aged 43 so was born somewhere about 1795 and Alice remarried William Brittan on April 20 1846. Alice,s parents were Thomas Webb and Mary Burton,married January 14 1791 and Thomas' parents were ThomasWebb and Elizabeth Bodger, who were married November 14 1759. Pauline Warrington,who lives in Over, is a direct descendent of John and Alice and she is still looking for John's parents. In my research of the OVER Disbrow/Desborough clan, I found a John Desbrow born in 1795 in Comberton,but could not prove any relationship. If I can help in any way, please send me an email.
