Joshua Disbrow (1-1-3-4) married Sarah Owen and the family came to New Brunswick as Loyalists (Mike where did you get this information). One of the children was Samuel but I have strong evidence that another was Elizabeth who married Daniel Keith before coming to New Brunswick with the rest of her family. The book on the Keith family of New Brunswick is about 400 pages with literally thousands of descendents. The Owen family has been the subject of at least three articles in The American Genealogist. Robert - I have his name as Josiah (not Joshua), son of Henry and Hannah (Barker) Disbrow. The sources of info I have on him, unfortunately, only listed the name of one son, Samuel, but there were seven children according to "Early Loyalists of St. John" by D. G. Bell (I may have the title wrong), which states that Josiah Disbrow and family of 7 ch., a blacksmith from Westchester Co., NY, arrived 1783 St. John, aboard "Montague". I remember being contacted by the author of the Keith Genealogy (and I'm sure I still have the letters somewhere but I'd have to do a thorough search to find them) years ago as he was trying hard to find some evidence as to the identity of that Elizabeth Disbrow who was the wife of Daniel Keith. If he ever found the evidence he never passed it on to me. I would love to see the "strong evidence" that she was daughter of Josiah. Thanks for your interest.
