So many times I see these go up for bid from collectors who have them only to try and sell them at outlandish prices. My only desire is to keep that from happening. Disbrow being appointed Deputy Collector and Inspector, Class 3, No. 2, at the Port of Bridgeport, CT, District of Fairfield, CT. Dated December 14, 1903. Has Official raised seal lower left corner (Collector of Customs, District of Fairfield. Original signatures of William E. Disbrow and the Collector of Customs at that time (name difficult to make out).
