    1. [DISBROW] Military files on CDs
    2. Michael Disbrow
    3. >From - Mike Disbrow, listowner Thanks to all who have replied to my earlier message about the Disbrow military and pension files. Let me try to answer a couple of questions I've received. First - Some have asked if I'm only doing the name DISBROW or if I'm interested in any other names. All the files I personally own are of DISBROW men only, because that is the name I was working on and I didn't get much into the collateral lines. If anyone has files of men who married a Disbrow woman, or children of Disbrow women, I would include those if I had copies. For example let's say an ELIZABETH DISBROW married a JOHN SMITH and they had two sons. If Elizabeth's husband and/or either of her sons served in the military and you have those files, I would include them in the project if you want to send copies. Second - There will be two CD's to cover all the military files because they can't all fit on one. The first CD will contain files of those men who served in the American Revolution, the War of 1812 and the Mexican War. The second CD will contain files of those men who served in the Civil War. I do have CD #1 completed, unless I hear from someone within the next few days that they have a file to add to the ones I listed in my previous message. At that time I will notify this list about the cost and also post it on the Disbrow web site. Third - My next project, after the Civil War files are done, will be the Disbrow Family Newsletters. These will include the newsletters that I published from 1984-87 and NOT the ones published by Cash Disbrow after that time. There are reasons for not including Cash Disbrow's newsletters but I can't go into that at this time. Just one more note. In case you aren't aware of it, you can see all of the past messages on this mailing list by going to the archives at: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/DISBROW And don't forget to occasionally check out the guestbook on the Disbrow web site at: http://us.geocities.yahoo.com/gb/view?member=mdisbrow1 Mike
