Here is the information I was able to scrape together for my book, "Descendants of Thomas & Mercy (Holbridge) Disbrow", from Part 2, pages 40 and 41: (2-8-1-2-2)  RALPH L.7 DISBROW, son of George6 & Caroline (Smith)     b. 17 Sep. 1826 Amherst, Lorain Co., OH; d. 20 Oct. 1903 Oneida Twp., Eaton Co., MI; m. 4 Mar. 1851 Brownhelm, Lorain Co., OH, HONOR CHADSEY TRIPP (b. 25 Dec. 1828 N. Kingston, Washington Co., RI; d. 18 Jan. 1908 St. Clair, St. Clair Co., MI).  Both bur. Oakwood/Grand Ledge cem., Eaton Co., MI.  Removed to MI in 1853, first living one year at Cotrellville, St. Clair Co., then settling in Oneida Twp., Eaton Co. >From the obituary of Honor (Tripp) Disbrow, in the Grand Ledge [MI] Independent, 24 January. 1908:   "She may be called a pioneer of this county for on her arrival here in the year 1854 it was mostly a wilderness... She was especially useful to the early pioneers of Oneida Twp. with her natural qualifications as a nurse and a good memory serving to enable her to remember the best remedy for the several ailments with which the early settlers were afflicted, and many older settlers remember with gratitude the ministrations of the deceased, rendered without money or price and with a cheerful generosity, that made the simple remedies doubly effective...Eight children were born to them and only three survive...7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren."     Ralph L. Disbrow enlisted 9 Sep. 1862 in Co. D, 7th MI Cavalry, at Oneida, MI , as a private.  "At the battle of Gettysburgh, Penn., while actually engaged in battle on the 3d day of July 1863 he received a gun shot wound in the left leg just above the knee joint, the ball passing entirely through the leg..."  He spent 6 months in the hospital at Ft. Schuyler, NY, then rejoined his regiment. Discharged 15 Dec. 1865 at Ft. Leavenworth, KS.  Was granted an invalid pension in 1866.     Children: +(2-8-1-2-2-1) Melvin Delos b. 6 Mar. 1852 N.
