I'm in Maryland right now and traveling to Beford County. I've found the Disbrow Cemetery (name is debatable though). It isn't marked, the stones have been buried but I'vew found someone who wants to clean it up and put a fence around it. They are the present owners of the old Disbrow property. Someone did do a reading in thge 80's so we do have something. This is a strange3 situation. The land was sold to the township in 1853 for a public cemetery. Seems the township doesn't know anything about it. Anyway, as I gather more information, I'll send you the info if you want to post it. This is the family of Abraham Disbrow of Ashland County OH. He's the one that died in the Civil War. I've pictures of some of the old structures on the land. Abraham's brothers was John and his father was Joseph. Joseph married Hannah Weimer in Frederick County MD. In researching that area I found that Joseph was an illegitimate son and was bound over to someone for 4 years in 1806. Now I don't know if he was really a Disbrow or if that was his mother's name. May never know that one. Arghh!!! Figured I might look for a present day Disbrow off that family and if I find one, then look to see if there is a Family Tree DNA project for the family. Anyway, have lots more to do in the next 2 days. Hope to learn something new. Sandy
