I heard about Geo closing down some time back, so I finally broke down and got my own paying site at www.hawblitz.info My Mother's name was Annabelle (Peg) Disbro...daughter of Frank A. Disbro( dropped the "w") and Nellie Mae Disbro. My middle name is also Disbro....Candy Disbro Murphy (now Candy Hawblitz since 1970). Since a portion of my site covers the Disbro-Allard side of my family as my Grandmother's maiden name was Allard, I'm still searching for a Disbro who may have photos of my Grandmother and Grandfather together as well as photos of my great-grandfathers. Both great-grandfathers were Civil War veterans. Nearly ALL my family photos were lost by the P.O. when my Dad sent me a huge box of photos from Binghamton, NY to South Carolina where we lived at that time. I would be willing to devote more of the Disbro-Allard portion of my site to other related Disbros if I could get a few of you to help pay for a small portion of the site. It's just an idea. I'm still searching for my cousins and did manage to locate the daughter of a cousin I never knew existed who just happened to see my page!! She was going to look through her Grandmother's things (my Aunt Jane) to see if she could find more pictures and info., but I guess has been busy. My health is no longer good as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and complications from the meds I take that enable me to walk and keep house. I hope to find out more info and also find cousins before I leave this world. LOL If anyone out there is interested in working something out, let me know. In the meantime, perhaps something better will turn up.
