HI, NANCY, Maybe Disbrow was a family name from the mother or grandmother's side. My dad, Grant Valentine Disbrow, Jr. - Valentine being another unusual middle name - was named after his grandmother, Anna Susan Valentine. We can't get further in the past, but thanks to a distant distant relative in TX, we've found my great great grandmother Mary (Snyder) Disbrow (m. Henry Disbrow b 1780 ???), mother of my great grandfather John Henry Disbrow born 1809 NJ, father of Charles Disbrow born OH 1847.
