Hi everyone, I'm searching for photos mainly of my Grandfather Frank Disbro as well as my Great-Grandfather Disbro. I'm also searching for photos of my Grandmother (Nellie Mae Disbro (Allard) and Grandfather together on the farm, and a photo of my Great Grandfather Allard. Feel free to view the information I do have left to me by my Mother when she passed away. The information was written down by my Grandmother Nellie Disbro (Allard) in her family Bible some time before she died in the flu epidemic of 1918. A portion of my website has had photos on it for some time...left to me by my Mother...Annabelle Disbro (Murphy). However, back in the 1980's, a HUGE box of photos was sent to me when my husband and I lived in South Carolina. Sadly, it never reached me, and a tracer showed it NEVER left the Binghamton, New York Post Office. My parents passed on long ago, but apparently, there were either no more family photos or else the photo album my Mother kept had been destroyed. I am working with a granddaughter of an Aunt (my Mother's sister) who still lives in Binghamton, New York in the hopes she might find more information and photos. The Disbro Allard genealogy portion of my site is located at: http://www.hawblitz.info/allardanddisbro I cover a lot on my site, but this it the Allard and Disbro portion....my Mother's side. I would also appreciate ANY Civil War photos of either of my great-grandfathers with his regiment. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Candy Hawblitz (Disbro-Murphy)
Hello all, I thought I would post Disbrow census findings to the list for those who do not have access to census records. Last night I uploaded this transcription file for MI/Shiawassee/1850 and it has the family of Charles Tuttle Disbrow in it. The index will show you the exact page and file name of the family. This one also happens to have actual census images to go with it. http://www.us-census.org/states/michigan/s-mi.htm#Shiawassee click on "On-line Complete" for the transcription. To access the census microfilm images simply click on the blue [View] button. This is a totally free, pop-up free, advertising free site. If you have not been here before you can go directly to the main page http://us-census.org/ where you will find links to all of the on-line transcriptions, access a search engine, or take your time and browse by State/County/Census Year. I sent this message two days ago but it never came through (at least not to my mailbox), so I'll try again - Mike Date - 11/18/08 >From - Mike Disbrow, listowner Subject - Disbrow CD descriptions In a previous message I mentioned the four different CDs I have available with Disbrow family information on them. Here is a description of what is on the CDs in more detail: 1) TDD-1 & 2 - The Descendants of Thomas & Mercy (Holbridge) Disbrow, Parts 1 and 2. This cd contains the full text of both volumes of my book, the description of which can be read here: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/5853/books.html The files are in .pdf format, which are readable with the Adobe Acrobat Reader and may be printed out for personal use only. 2) DFN/DDR - This CD contains all forty-five issues of the Disbrow Family Newsletter, published between 1984 and 1999 - almost 700 pages of material. It includes many types of records including biographies from county histories and other such books, census records and indexes, family Bible records, cemetery inscriptions, excerpts from family genealogies, old letters and diaries, obituaries, vital statistics from town and county records collections, military lists, etc., etc., partially indexed. Many of the original references used in compiling my Thomas Disbrow Descendants books and the Disbrow Descendants Reports are included in these newsletters. On this same CD are the twelve Disbrow Descendants Reports that I've compiled, which are also availabe at the Disbrow web site. All files are in .pdf format. 3) DSF-1 - Disbrow Soldier Files #1 (American Revolution, War of 1812 and Mexican War). This CD contains scans of seventeen Disbrow soldiers' military and/or pension application files located in the National Archives, and also some supplemental material of interest, including genealogical notes. A list of the soldiers whose files are included on this disk can be seen here: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/5853/pension.html 4) DSF-2 - Disbrow Soldier Files #2 (Civil War). Scans of the NARA (National Archives) military and/or pension files of fifty Disbrow Civil War soldiers, plus supplemental material and a listing of every known Disbrow soldier who served in that war and references. A list of the soldiers whose files are included on this disk can be seen here: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/5853/pension.html Note: The CDs do not "autorun", but the files can be accessed through Windows Explorer or whatever file managing system you use. Most of you are probably familiar with .pdf files and have a version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader already on your computer. If you don't, you can download the latest version at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html To keep things simple I am charging $15 for each single CD you buy, postpaid. Each additional CD combined in one order is $12. The files are burned onto archive-quality "gold" disks (presently I'm using Maxell CD-R Pro, which some refer to as "hundred year" disks, although I make no guarantees to that end). Please be sure and specify which CD(s) you want (don't just say "the Disbrow CD") I accept personal checks or money orders, payable to "Michael S. Disbrow" and mailed to: Michael S. Hi, My name is Kathy(Kathryn Ann Egan) Marques. I've been working on the Disbrow side for over 20 yearsbut I didn't think I couls prove the link from my g-g-grandfather Stephen G disbrow to Andrew and Rebecca(Munday) Disbrow. I'm still not sure about the other children also. I found that Andrew & Rebecca sold Stephen G land for ONE dollar in 1849, received and recorded 2/27/1892. The woodland and premises is said to go to Cortland and W J(late Andrew) Disbrows line to John E Disbrows line. Also Andrew Disborough to Cortland Disborough Recorded 10/14/1836 sold for 100 dollars a certain lot of land and plantation. These I found in New Brunswick,NJ in the County office where deeds are recorded. I aslo found " estate of Andrew to Stephen G Vol 112 pg 468 record 1868 South Amboy Andrew vx-SC.D. vol 131 pg 694 1872. I would be great I you have any children. I think they are Stephen G, Courtland, and John E. In the 1830census Andrew had 3 boys 20-30yrs old living with him a boy 5-10 (AndrewJ?) 1 girl 10-15(Jane Price?sb abt 19) and one girl 15-20 (Jane Price?or Cortlands wife Rhoda? sb abt 21)They were all with Andrew and Rebecca in the 1840 census. No names, just appx ages. In 1850 Andrew is with Cortland and Rebecca is with John and Jane. Hope you can confirm this and expand on it.Thanks, Kathy kaeme3@yahoo.com

Dr. Barker I am holding one of the last four copies of the book for you, along with a cd. Are you in the U.S.? I ask because you said you are from the British branch. I would need to adjust the postage for overseas shipping. Thanks very much for your interest. Mike Disbrow 11413 E. 20 Rd.
