    1. Re: [DILLON] William Dillon of Tazewell Co., IL
    2. Perry Adams
    3. I am trying to connect my William DILLON born in 1822 in Ohio with his proper parents and ancestors do not know which county William came from but in the 1850 census he was living in Monroe County Ohio with his wife Elizabeth and three young sons: Abraham, Henry and John. It is possible that my William was the son of James Dillon shown in the 1840 census living in Monroe County, Perry Township. James Dillon was born 1776 in Maryland. James may have been a Junior. As several Monroe County land transfers were made by a James Dillon Jr and his wife Phoebe Dillon. This would indicate there was a James Dillon Sr somewhere nearby. The birth of that James would have been around 1750. It is also possible that the older James Dillon may have been the son of a Moses Dillon from Maryland I would certainly welcome any help on identifying the parents of my William Dillon and tracking his ancestors. Thank you for your help. Died April 1834. Any help would be appreciated. He was married twice, Hannah Hoskins and Rebbeca Hussey. I have looked in the Quaker records in IL and cannot find anything on him. > > Any help is appreciated. > > ==== DILLON Mailing List ==== > Want to unsubscribe from the DILLON-L list (single message mode)? > Send an email message to: > DILLON-L-request@rootsweb.com > On the first line of text, enter only the following word: unsubscribe > Turn off any signature line. > =======================================================
