In case there are some new researchers on line, I am still looking to connect my William DILLON with his proper parents and ancestors. William was born in Ohio in 1822. In the 1850 census he shows up in the Monroe county, Green township with his wife Elizabeth (?) and three young sons. Abraham, Henry and John. In the 1840 Monroe county census is shown a James Dillon family with a male that would match my William Dillon's age (15-20). In the 1850 census this James Dillon age 74 was living with his son in Monroe county. James' birth place was shown as being Maryland. That would make James Dillon's birth date 1776.
