I believe he was raised in Houston, TX. His hame was Robert G.Howard. I sent away for his birth cert. in Oklahoma and they can not find any record of his birth. I do know he joined the Navy in 1946. He is deceased now and I have been trying to put together our family genealogy and I have run into brick walls as a habit these days. Your query was interesting because some of the names seem to match, (coincidence perhaps) his fathers name was Hiram Howard "no vitals his mothers name was Mae Craig "no vitals again. But Mae and Marie are close and Howard and Craig. I really don't know why I am e-mailing you about this but sometimes a coincidence can turn up some facts. My parents got married in 1950 and I was born in 1951 Nov. I am searching also for information on his people and who he was and where he was from and who his parents were but! I can't seem to find out anything on any of them. Their are alot of CRAIG'S in Arkansas, Yell co. and LeFlore and Talihina. My parents divorced when I was 12 and they are both gone now so I have no one to ask information from. I may not have helped you out but a sixth sense made me want to reply for some reason.
