I am looking to connect my William Dillon with his proper parents and ancestors. In the 1850 Monroe County, Ohio census is shown my William Dillon with his wife Elizabeth (?) and their three children: Abraham age 6, Henry age 4 and John age 3. We have no idea William's county of birth in Ohio. About 1853 William moved his family to Decatur county Iowa where they bought another farm. He gave some land for a cemetery near the Decatur and Wayne county lines. William died about 1875 as he does not appear in the 1880 Decatur county Iowa census, but his widow does along with one son (Abraham) and his family. Son Henry Dillon moved to Daviess County Missouri about 1870 with his wife Emmaline Galpin and two children. Other children born in Daviess county. Do you have any information on this Dillon family?
