Dillon Researchers: I am still looking for a clue to connect my William Dillon with his proper parents and ancestors. William was born in 1822 in Ohio - most likely Monroe County as in the 1850 Census we find William living with his wife Elizabeth (?) Dillon and their three sons: Abraham age 6; Henry age 4 and Joh age 3. The maiden name of the wife of Elizabeth Dillon may have been Highley as there was an Elizabeth Highley living in the Dillon household in the 1840 census. In that 1840 Census there was a James Dillon family living in Monroe County with his wife and children. However, they are not shown in the 1850 census so expect that James died sometime between census counts. If we had the names of those children, we mught be able to track the family back.
