Both were born in Ireland abt 1800. Children included Michael b. MO abt 1839 (later a priest), Ellen b. MO abt 1842, John b. LA abt 1846, Robert b. LA abt 1849, Katherine b. IA abt 1850, Mary b. IA abt 1853 and Therese b. abt 1855 IA. It is unclear whether there was another child Anna m. James Dillon 6-18-1879 Delaware County, IA or if Therese and Anna are the same individual. Robert m. Mary Seery. Children - Wm. Edward, m. Sadie Callahan; Loretta; Marcella Quirk Stratton. Wm. Loretta and Marcella inherited a farm near Monticello, IA later sold to Eric Wahl. This was part of the original land grant to Edmund Quirk in 1848. Wm and Sadie lived in Dubuque, IA at 1398 Alta Vista Street with Mary Seery Quirk living next door. All are buried in Dubuque. They had four children - Robert J., Wm Edward Jr., Paul and Timothy. Robert m Fronalee Eaker 1947. Thier children included Wm Edward, Katherine and Robert Jr. Wm was an attorney in Kansas City, MO. Robert Jr. lived in Fort Worth, TX. Robert and Fronalee inherited a peice of land in Colony, KS from the estate of Fr. Michael Quirk. Paul and Timothy were twins and died in infancy.
