I am trying to locate the parents of my gggrandmother Rachel Dillon Frasier who was born 10May1846 and died 19Jan1876. She and her husband William Frasier supposedly lived in Fayette and/or Westmoreland Counties in PA from after the Civil War until her death. Her husband lived until 1911 also in that part of PA. She had two daughters, Effie and Cora May. There are two Rachels that I have found (with the help of others) who are close to her age. The 1850 census for Fayette Twp, Lawrence County, OH shows the following family: John Dillon, age 38, born in VA; wife, Mary, age 34, born in VA; John W. age 13 born in VA; Mary Ann, Age 11, born in O; Rebecca J., age 8, born in O; Emelia F., age 6, born in O; RACHEL C., AGE 5, BORN IN O; Reverdy C., age 3, born in O, and Emit L., age 1, born in O. The 1860 census for South Wheeling, VA (WV), Ohio County shows the following family: James M. Dillow, age 40, born in Ohio; wife, Ellen, age 34, born in Ohio. All the children were born in VA: Emma, age 18; Edward, age 12; RACHAEL, AGE 15; William, age 7; Harry, age 3; Kate, age 1. Domestic Mary Moony, age 22, born in Ireland. Notice - they were listed as DILLOW as were others who seem to be related. In the 1870 census for the same location, RACHEL was no longer with the family, though the following were: Jame M. Dillon, age 50; wife Ellen, age 41; William age 17; (Harry now Henry - age 14); (Kate now Catherine - age 11). Thomas, age 9, Chester, age 3, and Dessie, 6/12 were also listed.
