I saw an email recently regarding the Dillon family members in Maryland. I have found that my Boyle ancestors have a Dillon connection and I wanted to share the little information that I have in hopes it might help someone or help me. David Boyle (b. Ireland) m. Anna Dolan They had six children - one named James Boyle. James married Mary Dillon. Now I believe that James was not the oldest child and that his brother William David Boyle b. 1865 was older. As farm as I can find out the Boyle family lived in and around Baltimore. I know this is only a little but I might help.
I have checked my data base and I have quite a few Mary Dillons, but they lack dates and in many cases lack where they came from. I hope that someone can identify this Mary Dillon who married into the Doyle family. Were your Doyles quakers? I am looking for James Dillon who was born in Maryland about 1776 according to the 1850 Monroe County Ohio census. His wife may have been named Phoebe and his father may have been named James as well. I am trying to connect James Dillon to his proper parents and ancestors. Thank you for your help.
