I have forgotten to tell you all that the archives are not up and running yet and probably will not be until July. When they are I will send the announcements thru the lists. As for commands for the list -- the only ones subscribers can use are the sub, unsub, (list or digest), and posting. Smartlist does NOT allow for reviews of the list etc. I am the only one that knows who is on the lists -- this is for security reasons more than anything ( someone was able to review the lists for ROOTS-L subscribers at one time and we all got SPAM advertising).
