I am looking to connect my William Dillon with his proper parents and ancestors. William was born in Ohio in 1822. We think he was the son of James Dillon who is shown in the 1840 Perry Township, Monroe County Ohio census. However, we cannot identify James Dillon's family line. That 1840 census shows James as being between the ages of 60 and 70, but he does not appear in the 1850 census, so we assume he either passed away or moved from the county. Does anyone out there have information on my James Dillon family? Such as names of children or name of wife. Thank you for your help. Perry Adams, San Carlos, California

Surnames: Dillon, Bruce, Paris Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BAT.2ACIB/1057 Message Board Post: I posted here about six months ago but have updated information someone may be familiar with. Peter DILLON, born appr. 1847, married to Catherine BRUCE, born 1847 to Stephen BRUCE and Matilda (PARIS) Bruce. Peter's parents I believe are John and Margaret (?) DILLON, but I can't prove that. Margaret was born in New York. John and Margaret were in Guernsey CO in 1850 but they (along with Peter and Catherine) were in Monroe CO, Perry twp, in 1870 and later (Catherine died there in 1913.) Stephen and Matilda Bruce were in Monroe CO, Wayne twp, in 1850. Does anyone have connections to these people? I'd appreciate input, especially connecting Peter and John. Thanks!

Hi, I have finally found the time to begin working on a website. It is very small at the moment but I hope it grows. my surnames can be found here http://www.geocities.com/kyramk/surnames.htm I am a descendant of Luke Dillon of Kerry, Ireland to Guilford County NC. If you find a match please let me know! I know there are some errors in my file. If you find them please point them out to me but be kind :-) I have fascination with my Dillon and Fisher lines and my pages will contain alot of info about them and the areas they lived in. I would be happy to include a link to ANYONE that has a Dillon in their line and has a web page even if they are an unrelated family. Send me an email off list at Mary_K@centurytel.net I hope to start working on links by early next week. Thanks, Mary

You seem to be subscribed to a list you don't want to be on . This is a list in which all inquiries on the Dillon family are posted, and one has to make the decision themselves whether they do or do not want to recieve mail from the rootweb Dillon list . The choice is to either read the archives at the website , or to get digest mode or individual . I suggest reading the archives at the web, and in this way , you can cherry pick what you prefer to read.
