Or is it that you are pretty sure that they must be related because they are in very close proximity ? I have a similar dilemna that I have not explored for some time, and that is that I have a William Dillon son of a Thomas Dillon from somewhere in Virginia or West Virginia -Susan

    3. I have a Grant DILLON born 16 Mar 1904 in Lineville IA. He was the son of Willis DILLON and Mattie MUSTAIN. Grant died 1 Sep 1976 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville. His father Willis DILLON was the son of Abraham DILLON and Jane GALPIN. Abraham was the son of William DILLON and Elizabeth (?). William and Elizabeth had three sons: Abraham, Henry and John. Abraham and Henry married GALPIN sisters (Jane and Emmeline Galpin). The Galpin farm was down the road from the DILLON farm in Decatur County, IA. William DILLON was born in OH in 1822. Unknown county and unknown parents. All three of their sons born in Monroe county, Ohio. I am looking for the parentage and ancestors of this William Dillon line. It is possible that William's parents came from Maryland to Monore County, Ohio in the early 1800s. I would sure welcome any information on these early DILLON connections. Thank you for your help.
