IND 1831. I have several sons that are near neighbors George, Abner and William Dillon on the 1840 Census. Then there is a Humphrey in Henry Co. IND the same year. Wm. Dillon was b. 1812 NC married Wabash Co. IND to Anna Tweedy b. 1817 NC. William Dillon, born about 1814 in Pa, moved to Milford area, Kosciusco Co, IN and wed Mary _____. Looking at Dillons in the Pa Censuses, he could have fit as a male child with families in Bucks County,Pa, among others...Anyone have info on these lines which may provide clues? Chris Yoder

A William SUMPTER, suspected to be the son of Henry SUMPTER and Agnes DILLON, gives a deposition on said date concerning the estate of his grandfather, William DILLON. Michael Augustus Dillon Private, United States Army Born at Chelmsford, Massachusetts, on September 29, 1839, he earned the Medal of Honor during the Civil War while serving with Company G, 2nd New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry at Williamsburg, Virginia, on May 5, 1862. The Medal was actually presented to him on October 10, 1899. He died on October 6, 1903 and was buried in Section 14 of Arlington National Cemetery.
