She seems to appear from no where. Bertha, as I understand it, was Emma's sister. Emma married Herman and Bertha married my grandfather, Fred. Fred and Herman were brothers. I met Herman a few times at family gatherings near Lena, Wis., but I was just a child. I got the impression that Fred and Herman were close. Any info. about Bertha would be appreciated. I have Bertha and Fred's wedding picture. I'm interested in Bertha because I'm told I'm a lot like her, and she died before I was born.
