He was also known as Gerard (Gerry) Bradley until about the age of 11. He was left with my great grandparents in D.C. when a baby and lived with them until they died. He was then sent back to live with his biological parents. He is listed as Gerard on the 1930 census as the 10 y.o. son of James and Pearl Bradley. They died prior to the next census. This story was told to me by my mother. I do have a picture that he sent to my grandmother of him in an army uniform and wrote on the back, "Dear Tootsie: This was taken in Eislingen, Germany. I am in the 36 Division and in a rifle company. Please give everyone my love. Love Bill" Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
