I believe they first settled in Camden NJ but may have moved later. The July 1860 census for Camden shows a Peter Dietrich age 26 (born 1834) and Mary Dietrich age 29 (born 1831), both from France, living with their 3 children: Charles Dietrich age 5 (born 1855), Helen Dietrich age 3 (born 1857), and Margaret Dietrich age 1 (born 1859). I can not find this family after the 1860 census. I think this Mary Dreier Dreyer may have been Anna Maria Dreyer, born in Lutzelbourg Lorraine. I have done a lot of research about the Antoine Dreyer & Catherine Berger family from Lutzelbourg. They had 8 children in Lutzelbourg. All children from this family are accounted for except for Anna Marie. Each of the Dreyers emigrated to the Philadelphia and NJ area around 1852 or 1853. They were German culturally although from France. There is a Peter Dietrich listed on the same ship manifest, SS Republic, in October 1851, along with Amand Dreyer, Anna Marie's brother. Peter and Amand may have been friends. They were both teenagers, 17 and 18 respectively, and probably traveled together to the Philadelphia area. Any suggestions appreciated.
