    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: dadtld Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.dietrich/544/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for the cemetery Arthur is buried in. His obituary has him in Stroudsburg Cemetery in Stroudsburg pa. I went through this cemetery for over three hours and found nothing. His residence had him in Lancaster Pa but I found no records of him at the Lancaster Historical Society. What I did find was a very small obituary in the Heritage trust in York Pa which has him as being buried in Shroudsburg Pa, census records from when he was a small boy, marriage record found in York Archives and a draft registration. He died in 1933. I'm wondering if it should have been Strausburg Pa instead, maybe there was a mistake made. It was a three hour trip from Dover Pa so I'm wondering why someone would have died in Lancaster but would be buried three hours away. Shroudsburg is up almost to the Pocano Mtns. What's the chances of driving the whole way up there and missing one tombstome. There were Dietrich's buried in there just not the one I was looking for. Can anyone help? This is for my father-in-law who is sick,so I don't know ! how much time I have. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Could have been in Texas - New Mexico area. They later divorced - date/place not known. No children. According to a WWI draft registration, jesse Williams was living at 2616 San Diego in El Paso Texas June 5, 1917 and was single. He had also lived in the Mormon Colonies in Col. Chuichupa. 1. [Dietrich] Jacob Dietrich
    2. I've been searching for my great uncle Jacob Carl Dietrich, born in Kreuznach, Germany (Prussia) on Oct. 4, 1848. He came to the U.S. in March of 1883, with his wife, Philippina, son Carl (11 months) and nephew Franz Dietrich, about 9 years old. My Mom told me that her parents and Jacob's family had moved to Narrowsburg NY. Her parents moved to Scranton PA, but Jacob disappears. His wife, Philippina, married a Michael Merzweiler in 1898 in NY, and lived in the Bronx. I have no idea what happened to Jacob or their son Carl. I don't know if he returned to Germany, died, or got divorced. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ruth
