He was born in the Big Sinking Community on January 19, 1920, the son of Grover C. and Amanda Sweet Roberts. Both parents preceded him in death. He married Dorothy Dick Roberts, who survives. He is also survived by 4 sisters Dorothy Morrow, Beulah Dick, Mary Ruth Morrow and Mildred Dick; 2 brother Sidney Roberts and Frank Roberts; 7 nieces; and 8 nephews. Preceding him in death is 1 brother Harry Roberts; and 2 nieces. He was a retired farmer. He served his country with honor in Europe during the Second World War and was a lifelong member of the Big Sinking Baptist Church where he served as Church Clerk for over 40 years. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 30, 2000 at the Big Sinking Baptist Church with Brother Charles Eugene Dick officiating. Burial was in the Roberts Family Cemetery. Hoyt G.
